Dr. Sharon D. Wright Austin is a Memphis, Tennessee native, a graduate of Westwood High School, 
Christian Brothers University, the University of Memphis, and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She has been a professor of political science 
at the University of Florida since 2001 and is also an author of several academic political books and articles, 
an educator, and a political analyst. 

This is her first children’s book. In this book, she hopes to advise adults and children who struggle with speech impediments. In her spare time, she likes to cook, travel, exercise, read, and write. She lives in Florida with her family.
